    if we see level of previous yr question paper for both tech and nontech, this yr was quite tough,and last yr , 50 out of 85 was enough for final selection, so i think this will be 50 to 55 nos for sure.

    i did in btwn 85 to 90 in elektrikal.....mst of d ppl in race atmptd 80 questn on an avg....lets c..wats actualy gona b cutof for elektrikal...

    ntpc cut off will be around 48 to 55.lat year all question was asked from j.b. gupta.but this year question stander was well so cut will be lower then 2011.so peopel who have made 60 will got final selection.so wait for result.result will be available upto 17th may 2011

    keeping in view the present scenarao of psu exam,like powergrid i think cutoff would be much larger and would be at least 70% for EE. So who are expecting cutoff to be b/w 55 to 65 should leave d hope of selection in NTPC. It would be at least 85 marks out of 120 for EE.

    kafi logo ke attempt ko dhyan me rakhte hue lagta hai cutoff bahut jayda jayega . Kam se 95 to jayega hi bhaiyo. Jinhone 90 bi kiya hai unka bi muskil hai. Anyway al d best.

    The cutoffs will be high- in the 85-90's irrespective of the branch for GEN category as all branches have only ~70 GEN category seats and it's an all India test. There will definitely be ~250 people at the all India level who would score that high.

    friends... forget abt cut-off.. anyway final selection will be mostly based on written marks because 85% of ur written marks will be considered for final selection... so whoever thinks that written exam was superb, they can enjoy...I attempted 80-90 questions but not sure how many right or wrong... but I have been called for interview.. so just attend the interview and wait for final merit list... All the best

    friends i am from electrical .i have answered 116 questions with only 2 wrong and got interview call in general category.so what do you think of the cutoff in general category?i am confused.is there any significance of reference no in interview call letter?
